Throughout one of physical elements was constantly brought up. Hair. The length, the colour and the texture was what they seemed to value to most.I ask myself why this is. Could it be jealously? I believe it;s because being light skinned is what is closest to white so they feel that the way they are able to associate themselves with white Caucasian people is through there physical appearance. These being the length and silky texture of their hair etc. And as white people are seen as having power and authority it then allows light skinned people to feel that they can associate certain physical feature on their body with white people.Especially their hair.
